Our Story
Inspire Community Hub
I’m Kav, a registered nurse and the founder of Inspire Community Hub here in Bicester.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with many disabled individuals and their families, both professionally and personally. I’ve worked in many different hospitals throughout my career, gaining a wide range of experience in healthcare settings. I also have disabled members in my own family, so I truly understand the importance of feeling included, supported and genuinely valued.
Through my experiences in the community and within my own life, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people are given the chance to connect, laugh, learn and simply enjoy being themselves. But I also noticed a gap. Too many people were feeling isolated or left out, and there just weren’t enough warm, inclusive spaces where disabled people could truly thrive.
That’s what inspired me to start Inspire Community Hub in Bicester.
I’m incredibly grateful to be building this alongside Lizzie and Rachel, two remarkable women who bring so much heart, strength and experience to the hub.
Lizzie spent many years working as a carer and is also the proud mum of a disabled daughter. She brings deep compassion, understanding and a wealth of lived experience to everything we do.
Rachel is a dedicated carer working in a rehabilitation hospital. She brings practical expertise, empathy and a strong belief in inclusive care. Her passion aligns beautifully with our mission to create a space where everyone feels seen, supported and empowered.
Together, we’ve created Inspire Community Hub as a safe, inclusive and joyful place where people of all abilities can come together, make friends, try new things and feel truly at home.
Whether it’s baking cakes, dancing to music, crafting, playing games or simply sharing a chat over a cup of tea, Inspire is here to bring people together, lift one another up and celebrate what makes each of us unique.
We’re just getting started — and we’d love you to be part of it.
With love,
Kav
